Peace Lily

Peace lilies (Spathiphyllum) is a genus of about 40 species of monocotyledonous flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical regions of the Americas and southeastern Asia. Certain species of Spathiphyllum are commonly known as Spath or peace lilies. Peace lilies also known as closet plants, are a popular choice for offices and homes. When it comes to indoor plants, peace lily plants are some of the easiest to care for. But, while peace lily plant care is easy, proper growing conditions are still important.

 

Dracaena

Dracaena family makes up an important group of plants used to decorate, scrub the air and make “green” homes, offices, malls, apartments and the landscape around the world. This group of diverse shaped plants consist of approximately 40 or so assorted species coming in a varieties of forms and sizes. You can find Dracaenas from 3 inch pots, growing in water to towering specimens.

Snake Plant

Snake Plant is commonly called “mother-in-law’s tongue” or “snake plant”, because of the shape and sharp margins of its leaves. It is also known as the “viper’s bowstring hemp”, because it is one of the sources for plant fibers used to make bowstrings. Snake Plant is an evergreen perennial plant forming dense stands, spreading by way of its creeping rhizome, which is sometimes above ground, sometimes underground. Its stiff leaves grow vertically from a basal rosette. Mature leaves are dark green with light gray-green cross-banding and usually range between 70–90 centimetres (28–35 in) long and 5–6 centimetres (2.0–2.4 in) wide.

Devil’s Ivy

Devil’s ivy, also known as pathos (Epipremnum aureum), is a tropical plant native to the Solomon Islands. In its native habitat the vines can grow 20 to 40 feet long, but as a houseplant the vines rarely exceed 8 feet. The plant looks its best sitting on a high table or in a hanging basket where the long vines can drape over the sides of the pot.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a plant species of the genus Aloe. It grows wild in tropical climates around the world and is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses. Aloe is also used for decorative purposes and grows successfully indoors as a potted plant. It is found in many consumer products including beverages, skin lotion, cosmetics, or ointments for minor burns and sunburns. There is little scientific evidence of the effectiveness or safety of Aloe vera extracts for either cosmetic or medicinal purposes. Studies finding positive evidence are frequently contradicted by other studies.
